With temperatures in the mid 90s being forecast for Florida Monday, Florida Gas Transmission issued an Overage Alert Day for customers in its market area. The tolerance for negative daily imbalances was set at 20%.

Pacific Gas & Electric implemented a systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO Sunday, then allowed it to expire Monday.

Transco said Monday it had completed anomaly repair work downstream of the Sabine River as scheduled (see Daily GPI, Aug. 6) and will lift the associated restriction on available transportation capacity that was initiated Aug. 4 effective with Tuesday’s gas day.

Effective with Tuesday’s Timely and Evening cycles, Southern Natural Gas said it will approve nominations for a net delivery to Petal Gas Storage in Mississippi of 35,000 Dth/d (see Daily GPI, Aug. 10). The pipeline also reported experiencing an unscheduled outage at the Rome Compressor Station located on the 12-inch diameter Chattanooga Branch main and loop lines in north Georgia. Some allocations of interruptible capacity in the area were required, but Southern did not anticipate any impact on firm services. A repair plan is being developed, Southern said, and based on its best available information the station is not expected to return to service before Friday. However, an interim solution is also under investigation that could return the station to service before Friday, Southern said.

Northern Natural Gas reported that its system is experiencing high levels of water in the gas stream. Water content at the Clifton (KS) Compressor Station, on a commingled basis, is exceeding the tariff limit of six pounds per MMcf, Northern said Monday, and at this time it will not be able to accept gas at the Beaver County #2 receipt point until it meets tariff-specified water requirements.

Effective with Wednesday’s gas day until further notice, Northwest will not accept requests for interruptible storage injections in its Jackson Prairie facility. In addition, all interruptible storage holders at Jackson Prairie must bring their account balances to zero by Sept. 7, the pipeline said. The fuel gas piping modifications originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of this week at Lava Hot Springs Compressor Station have been postponed due to delayed arrival of the necessary equipment, Northwest said. It will notify customers when the work is rescheduled.
