Recalling its notice earlier this month advising shippers that working storage inventory levels were significantly above levels for a comparable period last year and there was a distinct possibility of running out of available capacity by mid-summer (see Daily GPI, May 12), Southern Natural Gas said Wednesday it was implementing immediately the restrictions on certain storage transactions that the notice had said might be required to preserve firm storage obligations and interruptible storage quantities that already had been accepted. See the bulletin board for details of the restrictions now in effect on interruptible storage nominations. The pipeline emphasized that “firm storage transactions are NOT being restricted.”

Florida Gas Transmission lifted Wednesday an Overage Alert Day that had been in effect for the previous two days.

CIG will take the Green River meter station, which supports deliveries from Northwest to CIG, off-line for May 30-June 6 maintenance. During that period no physical flow to or from CIG at the meter station will be possible. CIG said it and Northwest ” will work to mitigate the impact to shippers by coordinating balancing flexibility between the two pipelines to the greatest extent possible. Even so, shippers should anticipate some reductions to nominated quantities during this period.”

Effective immediately until further notice, Texas Eastern said Wednesday morning, its interconnect with Transco at Ragley, LA is unavailable for nominations.

ANR reported returning its facilities to service and the resumption of normal operations in the Southeast Gathering Area-East Leg. As a result, ANR has lifted a restriction on delivery capacity between the Patterson and Eunice compressor stations in South Louisiana.

Tennessee lifted Wednesday the force majeure declaration issued last Dec. 5 for the South Marsh Island 61B, South Marsh Island 27A and Vermilion 191C meters offshore Louisiana.

Westcoast said early Tuesday afternoon it had completed leak repairs on its dehydrator tower at the McMahon Gas Plant and was removing the raw gas constraint previously in place. The pipeline previously had expected to finish the repair work Monday evening (see Daily GPI, May 23).

Northwest said that based on current flow patterns, it does not anticipate any interruption to customer nominations after finding a small leak on the Spokane Lateral near the Sprague delivery point while performing a routine line survey. Northwest is developing a work plan to repair the leak.
