Northern Natural Gas said late Wednesday afternoon that due to weather conditions and dive boat availability, for the time being it is not anticipating the return to service of any platforms downstream of Matagorda 758 on the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System (MOPS), which Northern operates. As of Tuesday Northern had hoped to restore operations at several MOPs platforms sometime Thursday (see Daily GPI, March 8).

Kern River linepack has returned to normal operating levels systemwide after a period of being higher than desired, the pipeline reported Wednesday. However, due to ongoing maintenance at Veyo Compressor Station, Kern River asked all shippers and operators to refrain from banking or drafting and to stay on rate until the work is completed Friday.

Gulf South said scheduled pigging will begin Monday on the Burns Offshore Pipeline System and continue for about a week. The work will include the mainline and various field lines. Citing the nature of pigging operations, Gulf South said production could be shut in periodically at 10 platforms.
