With cold weather forecasted in Florida for Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Florida Gas Transmission told market-area customers of the potential for issuance of an Overage Alert Day notice on upcoming gas days.

Columbia Gas said Wednesday it was investigating mechanical problems at Rutledge Compressor Station that leave the station unavailable to operate until the issue is evaluated and corrected. As a result, no nonfirm capacity will be available Thursday until further notice at two internal constraint points and at certain Market Areas in the eastern portion of the system.

Gulf South said it began unscheduled maintenance Tuesday on Unit #2 of the Hall Summit Compressor Station. The work will continue for about four days and could affect station capacity by as much as 75 MMcf/d.

Dominion will take one compressor at Sardis Station out of service for seven to 10 days for routine inspection and maintenance beginning Jan. 30. At this time Dominion does not plan a mandatory curtailment of production in the area, but it said system pressures will be closely monitored, and changes may become necessary.
