In extending an Overage Alert Day notice for customers in its market area through at least Tuesday, Florida Gas Transmission tightened the tolerance for negative daily imbalances from 25% to 15%.

El Paso maintenance this week in the Anadarko Basin area (see Daily GPI, June 13) is limiting flow into El Paso from CIG‘s Big Blue interconnect. However, El Paso said operating conditions allowed Big Blue volumes to be increased from 75 MMcf/d to 88 MMcf/d effective with Cycle 3 nominations Tuesday.

Dominion rescinded Tuesday its planned restriction to Primary service only Wednesday at the Cornwell interconnect with Tennessee (see Daily GPI, June 14). “This restriction had been invoked to allow for predeliveries of gas in anticipation of maintenance planned for early July upstream of the Cornwell meter,” Dominion said. “Unfortunately, these predeliveries have not been able to occur at this time.”

Questar wants to buy 2,014 dekatherms of in-place Clay Basin storage gas to facilitate its monthly imbalance cash-out program. Questar also has scheduled line work on the upper end of its ML 68 segment for June 28-30, during which five points must be shut in and nominated to zero.

CIG said one unit will be out of service for maintenance July 1-31 at the Elk Basin (WY) Compressor Station. The work will reduce capacity through the station to 90 MMcf/d and will limit deliveries to the Elk Basin meter to 55 MMcf/d.

As a result of Tropical Storm Arlene, Southern Natural Gas said, repairs to facilities that were damaged last year by Hurricane Ivan had to be suspended, and thus projected completion dates included in a posting last week (see Daily GPI, June 9) will not be met. “Project management personnel are currently working with our contractors to develop a revised schedule for completing the repairs,” the pipeline said. “We will post the updated repair schedule when it is completed.”
