Transco plans smart pig operations on 62 miles of Main Line A from Station 35 north of Houston to Station 40 in Hardin County, TX. Each pig run will take place across two gas days but on one calendar day, the pipeline said. The calendar dates for the project are March 9 and 16. In order to ensure that the pig runs provide accurate information, during the gas days of March 8-9 and March 15-16 Transco will not allow any IT or secondary firm service for gas received upstream and intended for delivery downstream of Station 35 and/or Station 40. For the same periods, due-pipeline imbalance quantities scheduled for receipt upstream of Stations 35 and 40 will not be allowed. Also, on the gas days of March 8 and March 15, FT receipts for delivery downstream of Stations 35 and/or 40 will be limited to 350,000 Dth/d. FT deliveries downstream of Station 40 will be kept whole if requested, Transco said.

In reporting an unscheduled outage Feb. 4 on the 10-inch Patterson Field line in southwest Louisiana, Sonat said the force majeure event would not allow it to accept nominations at the Tennessee-Patterson receipt point (see Daily GPI, Feb. 8). On Wednesday it said nominations also were being disallowed at the Patterson-Plant Outlet receipt point due to the outage, the duration of which remained unknown.
