The two units at Trailblazer‘s Compressor Station 602 in Lincoln County, CO remained out of service Thursday until further notice due to “a sudden mechanical/electrical failure.” Trailblazer has declared force majeure and said the completion date of repairs remains unknown. ITS/AOR and Secondary out-of-path transportation through the station are not available for scheduling. Primary and Secondary in-the-path firm nominated volumes will be prorated based on the shipper’s contract MDQ (Maximum Daily Quantity), the pipeline said.

Sonat continued to hold off on declaring a Type 6 OFO through Friday, but said one was “highly likely” for long imbalances Saturday and Sunday. However, in another section of its bulletin board, the pipeline estimated its cumulative system cash-out imbalance for the month at 416,316 dekatherms short as of Oct. 7.

In an update to setting a Muddy Creek South constraint (see Daily GPI, Oct. 9), Northwest said that as part of its Rockies Expansion, Unit #1 at Muddy Creek Compressor Station will be upgraded to “a clean-burning SoLoNOx engine” over the Oct. 9-20 period. The override Muddy Creek South capacity constraint of 370,000 Dth/d will be reset to 258,000 Dth/d for Oct. 11-20, Northwest said. “Should primary nominations exceed available capacity, Northwest will attempt to mitigate the impact by utilizing available linepack and balancing flexibility. If it appears that these efforts are not sufficient, Northwest will declare a deficiency period and cut primary nominations.”
