Citing shipper requests, Questar extended the open season for its Piceance to Kanda/Coleman expansion project to a noon MDT deadline on Sept. 19. It previously had planned to end the season last Friday (see Daily GPI, Aug. 13). Copies of the bid form and project details are available online at https://www.questarpipeline.com under “Marketing, Open Season and Expansion Plans.”

Questar also said it has scheduled installation of equipment associated with smart pigging of its Southern System from Price to Payson Gate Station for Sept. 23-29. The line will be cleaned and prepared during this period for pigging that is currently scheduled in 2004, the pipeline said. See the bulletin board for a list of projected shipper impacts.

Kern River said Thursday it had discontinued the Daggett Electric Surcharge effective Sept. 1 until further notice. “Due to the fact that actual shipper nominations to delivery points on the common facilities are less than shippers’ contractual delivery rights to delivery points on the common facilities, the Daggett Compressor [Station] has not been utilized as much as anticipated in the post-expansion system design,” the pipeline explained. “As a result, electricity charges have been lower than projected; therefore it is not necessary to collect the surcharge at this time.” Kern River said it will keep customers advised of any further surcharge actions.

Destin Pipeline will conduct training sessions on the afternoons of Sept. 15 and 16 about the upcoming implementation of pooling on its system. Shippers who schedule or confirm using Sungard Web are encouraged to attend this training. Content will be the same on each date. The sessions will be held in Sungard offices in downtown Houston. Those planning to attend should RSVP to Amanda Reichmuth at (918) 660-4300 or Amanda.reichmuth@bp.com. For more information, call Katie Lucas at (918) 660-4387 or e-mail katie.lucas@bp.com.
