Pacific Gas & Electric extended a low-inventory Stage 1 OFO(see Daily GPI, Sept. 1) through today. Penalties were unchanged,but the negative imbalance tolerance was tightened to 5%.
Colorado Interstate Gas said production is flowing on its newCampo Lateral in southeastern Colorado, which provides 100 MMcf/dof new takeaway capacity for coal-bed methane being produced in theRaton Basin. The $20.7 million, 115-mile pipeline is complete andconnected to CIG’s Picketwire Lateral near Trinidad, CO, whichbrings gas into CIG’s mainline in Baca County, CO. Total resourcesin the Raton basin have been estimated at 20 Tcf. The basinproduced 30 MMcf/d of gas in 1997 and is expected to increase to 50MMcf/d in 1998 and 100 MMcf/d in 1999, according to CIG. Thelargest shippers on the Campo Lateral will be Primo Gas Marketingand Apache Canyon Gas.
