Northeast power generation demand provides more than enough support to advance the Access Northeast project of the Algonquin Gas Transmission and Maritimes & Northeast (M&NE) pipelines, Spectra Energy Corp. CEO Greg Ebel said Wednesday.

Only a few points slipped into the loss column, and most locations added either side of a nickel. The NGI National Spot Gas Average rose 6 cents to $1.96.

Newport Beach, CA-based Clean Energy Fuels Corp. officials said Monday they have secured a contract to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Hawaii Gas, Hawaii’s sole franchised gas utility. The deal is multi-year, but the utility has chosen to keep other details confidential at this time, a Clean Energy spokesperson said.
