  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers expects to remove an oil rig and recreational boat Thursday obstructing the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Louisiana. The agency has also received bids to remove a rock barge that sank late Tuesday, but no final decision had been made. 
  • U.S. Coast Guard has no timeline for when the channel will resume full operations. The port is not permitting vessels with drafts of 25 feet-plus to move through the channel, restricting access to Cameron LNG. LNG tankers generally have a draft of about 36 feet when loaded. 
  • Cameron LNG has largely been offline since late August following hurricanes Laura and Delta. Once obstructions are cleared, surveys and dredging will be needed, which could take a week or more,...
