Tengasco Inc. of Knoxville, TN, is now selling gas from its SwanCreek gas field in eastern Tennessee. “We have signed an amendedagreement with Hawkins County Utility District in Rogersville, TN,to sell natural gas for industrial and residential customers,” saidMike Ratliff, Tengasco CEO.

The initial sale of gas from the Tengasco’s 44,000 acre SwanCreek field is being carried to the Hawkins County system throughTengasco’s 28-mile, eight-inch pipeline. “Tengasco has now drilledsome 19 successful oil and gas wells in the Swan Creek field. Wenow have deliverability in excess of 25 MMcf of natural gas perday. Two additional wells have been drilled that will add to ourdeliverability. We expect to have them completed and ready toproduce gas within the next few weeks.

“We anticipate drilling many more wells to increase ourdeliverability as the market for our natural gas increases. Therecurrently are two drilling rigs active in the Swan Creek field.”

Knoxville-based Tengasco has operations in Tennessee and Kansas.Tengasco currently has more than 30,000 acres of leases in Kansaswith 207 producing gas wells and more than 44,000 acres leased inthe Swan Creek field in Tennessee with 19 producing oil and gaswells. In March 1998 Tengasco completed its $10 million, 28-milepipeline in eastern Tennessee that The originates at the company’sSwan Creek field.
