The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) has dropped its two cents into the debate over the validity of a draft Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) report on the potential link of groundwater contamination to hydraulic fracturing (fracking) in Pavillion, WY.

Renewable Manufacturing Gateway (RMG) and Aither Chemicals LLC have agreed to collaborate on a $750 million ethane cracker for Marcellus Shale gas, the two nonprofit organizations said Monday. A specific location within southwestern Pennsylvania, Ohio or West Virginia for the facility has not been identified, they said.

The Marcellus Shale is the eastern United States’ new natural gas supply source of choice, and Williams is in the process of developing a new pipeline to connect supply with market via Williams’ existing Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line (Transco).

Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. and a unit of India’s Gail (India) Ltd. have closed on a joint venture (JV) that gives Gail 20% of Carrizo’s interest in about 20,200 net acres in the condensate zone of the Eagle Ford Shale for $95 million.

Tennessee Gas Pipeline on Tuesday morning informed its customers that it is lifting its imbalance warning in Zone 4 on the 300 Line. However, the pipeline continues to request that all parties match physical flow with scheduled quantities.

Effective Friday Southern California Gas will voluntarily decrease the maximum operating pressure on its Line 2000 in the Southern Transmission Zone by approximately 20%. “This change is being made to further improve and maintain the safety of SoCalGas’ pipeline network,” the giant LDC said. Affected pipeline runs from Blythe in Riverside County to Brea Station in Orange County, SoCalGas said. Customers served from Line 2000 may experience lower delivery pressures, and total receipt point capacity at El Paso-Ehrenberg and North Baja-Blythe will be limited to 1,010 MMcf/d, it added.
