Integrys Energy Group Inc.’s natural gas fueling business unit,Trillium CNG,is building a high-volume compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Kirkwood, NY, in the Southern Tier near the Pennsylvania border, primarily to meet the fleet fueling needs ofWillow Run Foods Inc., a regional food service supplier. The facility is to be designed with ultra-fast refueling for heavy-duty trucks, including two dispensers initially and room for expansion as demand for CNG grows, the company said.

Walter Oil & Gashas completed the first phase of plugging a natural gas well in the Gulf of Mexico that blew out in July, according to theInterior Department’sBureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement(BSEE). The well blowout partially destroyed a Hercules Inc. rig, but as responders were working on ways to prevent releases, the well naturally clogged with sand (seeDaily GPI,July 30). All of the debris from the original well had been removed as of Friday (Sept. 6), and no gas has been detected, BSEE said. Regulators said the original well would be reentered at a later date to set deeper, permanent plugs.

Five meters at the discharge side of Longview Station on theWillow Springs Lateral in Texas Eastern’s East Texas zone will beshut in today through June 21 for road crossing work and anomalyrepair. The project was delayed two days from a previouslyscheduled Monday start. The same meters will remain shut in June22-27 for previously posted Department of Transportation-relatedwork. In a separate project, Texas Eastern will require the shut-inof all meters upstream of the Iowa (LA) Plant June 21-27 as itupgrades and installs new facilities on Line 41 between Iowa andthe Grand Chenier (LA) Station. The plant’s annual maintenanceshutdown will coincide with the Line 41 outage.
