FERC has approved the sale of a section of Columbia Gas Transmission pipeline and associated facilities in West Virginia and Kentucky to unaffiliated producer Columbia Natural Resources LLC (CNR) for an estimated $4.4 million. The agency also accepted a request to declare the facilities gathering in nature and exempt from FERC jurisdiction.

Southern Star Receives FERC Nod to Sell Oklahoma Pipe Assets

FERC Monday gave Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline the green light to sell part of its regulated natural gas pipeline system in Oklahoma to unaffiliated gatherer Keystone Gas Corp. for an estimated $250,000. Following the sale, the pipe facilities would become nonjurisdictional gathering.

Parallel Increases Proved Reserves 29% with $44.5M Purchase

A subsidiary of independent producer Parallel Petroleum Corp. has entered into an agreement with 10 unaffiliated parties to acquire 6.4 million boe of proved reserves in the Permian Basin for $44.5 million. Once completed, the transaction will raise Parallel’s proved reserves by 29%.
