Canadian LNG Facility Clears Environmental Hurdle

North America’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) transshipment and storage terminal proposed for Grassy Point at the head of Placentia Bay in Newfoundland and Labrador has been found not to be a threat to the environment if appropriate mitigation measures are taken.

Newfoundland LNG Environmental Assessment Out for Comment

North America’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage and transshipment facility at Grassy Point on Placentia Bay in southeastern Newfoundland moved a step closer to reality with the Monday release of an environmental assessment report on the project by Canada’s Environmental Assessment Agency.
