Union Pacific Resources Group announced details of itsparticipation in four successful wells recently completed on itsLand Grant acreage. UPR’s net production from the wells is about 28MMcf/d of gas and 500 barrels of oil/d. The most prolific well, theChamplin 457 A No. 5, is located in the Whitney Canyon field inUinta County, WY. The company owns a 33% net revenue interest inthe well which began producing at an initial rate of 60 MMcf/d.

KN’s Touts 68% Participation in Choice Program
KN Energy said yesterday its Nebraska customer choice programhas topped all other pilots in the U.S. with more than 68% ofeligible Nebraskans participating. About 56,100 customers out of82,500 eligible elected to receive gas from an alternativesupplier, putting KN’s program well over Columbia Gas of Ohio on apercentage basis – only 35% of Columbia’s customers in its Toledo,OH, pilot are participating – but slightly less than Columbia inthe number of customers choosing alternative suppliers. Columbiacurrently has 57,500 customers signed up.

Tennessee Gas Pipeline has signed precedent agreements for over1 Bcf/d in new deliveries through its Eastern Express Project 2000in New England and its Express 500 Project from the Gulf of Mexico,according to John Somerhalder, pipeline president.
