Spectra Energy’s Texas Eastern Transmission (Tetco) pipeline is holding an open season for its proposed TEAM-South Expansion Project, which would move up to 300,000 Dth/d of natural gas from the region around Uniontown, PA, to delivery points in Tetco’s ELA Access Area Zone in Mississippi.

Spectra Energy and Spectra Energy Partners Monday announced they have executed new long-term contracts to bi-directionally transport 650,000 Dth/d of natural gas on their Texas Eastern Transmission (Tetco) system to accommodate the growing manufacturing sector and liquefied natural gas (LNG) export market along the Louisiana and Texas coast.

Texas Eastern Transmission LP (Tetco) has asked FERC for authorization to undertake certain activities to protect its pipeline system in Pennsylvania from potential ground subsidence during longwall coal mining that is planned by Emerald Coal Resources LP.

A coalition of prospective end-users of compressed natural gas (CNG) for vehicular use has expressed support for Spectra Energy’s proposed expansion of its Texas Eastern Transmission (Tetco) and Algonquin Gas Transmission systems to serve the New Jersey and New York gas markets. It is one of the few backers of the project in New Jersey.

Texas Eastern Transmission (Tetco) began an open season last Thursday for incremental pipeline capacity on a proposed expansion that would give Rocky Mountain producers greater access to natural gas markets in the U.S. Northeast. The open season will close Sept. 28.
