Increasing Piceance Basin production in Colorado and new takeaway capacity out of the Rockies to Midwestern markets have prompted TransColorado Gas Transmission to test market interest in a 300,000 Dth/d expansion of its system.

American Electric Power (AEP) last week provided documentation to FERC that it says shows that it passes both market screens proposed by FERC earlier this year — a pivotal supplier test and a market share test — in the control areas to which AEP is directly connected.

Bay Gas Storage is holding a non-binding open season through July 9 to test market interest in adding a third salt cavern to its McIntosh storage field forty miles north of Mobile, AL.

Caledonia Energy Partners is holding an open season through June 25 for a proposed 11 Bcf gas storage project at a depleted reservoir in Monroe and Lowndes counties, MS. The proposed storage facility, which is expected to be in service in spring of 2006, is expected to have interconnections with Tennessee Gas’ 500 Leg, Texas Eastern Transmission and Southern Natural.

El Paso Natural Gas is holding an open season to determine market interest for firm transportation service through proposed capacity on its Line 1903 in California in association with some capacity that it plans to buy on the affiliated Mojave Pipeline System. The open season ends March 4.

Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line (Transco) said it is holding an open season from Jan. 14 to Feb. 13 for firm transportation service from Zone 6 at Station 210 along the Trenton-Woodbury line. If sufficient market demand exists, the pipeline would file an application with FERC for another Trenton-Woodbury expansion project.
