Although it lifted a meter-specific Balancing Alert OFO, Tennessee cited high temperatures across much of its system in saying a systemwide Imbalance Warning would become effective Wednesday. The action requires “all delivery and receipt point operators to match physical flow to scheduled volumes regardless of cumulative imbalance.” Later the pipeline also said that due to anticipated hot weather, it was issuing an OFO Action Alert for market-area Zones 5 and 6 that would take effect Thursday.

Citing a need to maintain linepack and protect system integrity, Tennessee issued Monday a Balancing Alert OFO for market-area Zones 5 and 6, saying shippers in those zones were required to maintain an actual daily flow rate not exceeding a tolerance of 2% of scheduled quantities or 500 Dth, whichever is greater, for underdeliveries into the system and overtakes from the system.

Citing limited operational flexibility to manage imbalances over the long holiday weekend, Tennessee issued a systemwide Balancing Alert for Saturday that required all delivery point operators to keep actual daily takes from the system equal to or greater than scheduled quantities, and all receipt point operators to keep actual daily receipts into the system equal to or less than scheduled quantities. The requirement applied in each case regardless of the operator’s cumulative imbalance position.

Neither Southern California Gas (SoCalGas) nor Pacific Gas and Electric extended their high-linepack OFOs beyond Saturday.
