Eagle Ford Shale midstreamer Southcross Energy Partners LP expects to emerge from voluntary bankruptcy in a few days after a plan of reorganization was approved.

Eagle Ford Shale midstreamer Southcross Energy Partners LP, which filed for Chapter 11 restructuring earlier this year, has been given approval to sell some natural gas pipeline and infrastructure assets in South Texas to a unit of Kinder Morgan Inc.

Southcross Energy Partners LP is seeking restructuring through bankruptcy and will evaluate a range of options during the process, including the sale of the business, divestiture of assets or a standalone restructuring plan, the Eagle Ford Shale processor said Monday.

American Midstream Partners LP (AMID) on Wednesday announced an estimated $3 billion merger with Southcross Holdings LP entities, a transformational tie-up that when completed would create an enterprise with 8,000 miles of onshore and offshore natural gas, crude and liquids pipelines, and substantial gas and liquids processing.
