Oneok Partners LP Thursday said it would spend between $980 million and $1.1 billion by 2014 on a slate of natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGL) midstream projects in Texas, Oklahoma and North Dakota.

David Meister, a partner in the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, has been named director of enforcement at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. A former federal criminal prosecutor, he has nearly 25 years of experience in investigations, litigation and trials involving fraud and other complex schemes relating to U.S. financial markets. Meister previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, where he was a member of that Office’s Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force. Vincent McGonagle, who has been acting director of enforcement since Oct. 1, will continue in that capacity until Meister joins the agency.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a slate of 31 renewable energy projects that it says will undergo fast-track environmental and public review in order to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The deadline for the projects to receive incentive funding is December, and BLM Director Bob Abbey said his agency is committed to shepherding the projects along.

(Nymex) on Friday announced the proposed fee schedule for the initial slate of the energy futures contracts that will be offered for side-by-side trading on CME Globex, the electronic trading platform of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, on June 11 for trade date June 12. The company noted that all listed fees are quoted on a per side basis.
