Comstock expects good things to come from the Permian Basin and plans to hold on to its Haynesville-Bossier Shale acreage in anticipation of better days for dry gas.

BP Seals Macondo Well
BP plc last week successfully sealed its runaway Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) with cement. A permanent fix using one of two relief wells is expected to begin in the middle of the month.

Texas Eastern (TE) said it has an ongoing outage between Chambersburg and Lambertville through May 16. As a result, the pipeline has scheduled and sealed nominations for transportation and delivery between Chambersburg and Lambertville on the 36 inch CRP line. No increases in deliveries between Chambersburg and Lambertville will be accepted.

Algonquin Gas Transmission said its interconnect with Tennessee Gas Pipeline at Mahwah (Meter station 00201) was restricted and sealed to capacity on Friday. No increases in receipts to Mahwah were accepted.

Texas Eastern reported an unplanned unit outage at its Five Points Compressor Station in Ohio and said it had sealed nominations flowing through Sarahsville Compressor Station as a result Thursday. “Increases in nominations for receipts sourced between Little Rock and Sarahsville for delivery downstream of Sarahsville will not be accepted” until further notice, the pipeline said.
Sonatrach Strengthens Atlantic Basin Market Presence
Sonatrach and StatoilHydro recently sealed a long-term partnership to bring liquefied natural gas (LNG) to and market gas from the Cove Point receiving terminal. Sonatrach will have access to 2 billion cubic meters per year of regasification capacity at the terminal for 15 years from the beginning of 2009, and StatoilHydro will purchase 1 billion cubic meters of LNG per year from 2009 to 2014.
