A revised version of the proposed Palomar Pipeline, whose FERC application was pulled back last year, is still needed and should be revived at the federal regulatory agency by mid-2013, NW Natural CEO Gregg Kantor told analysts during a recent 3Q2012 earnings conference.

Forecasts of high temperatures on either side of 90 in many regions and even greater in the South, Midcontinent and parts of the West revived the spot market by generally small amounts Thursday. Hope that natural gas will flow out of the Canadian Arctic was revived among boosters of the stalled northern pipeline project after four producers took out new exploration rights in the Beaufort Sea.
