Algonquin Gas Transmission said its interconnect with Tennessee Gas Pipeline at Mahwah (Meter station 00201) was restricted and sealed to capacity on Friday. No increases in receipts to Mahwah were accepted.

FERC Refuses to Stay Order on Cove Point Deliveries

FERC last Thursday rejected a request by Washington Gas Light Co. (WGL) to stay an October 2008 order that restricted liquefied natural gas (LNG) deliveries from the expanded Dominion Cove Point LP terminal in Maryland to 530,000 Dth/d in an effort to avoid additional leaks on the distribution system of the Washington, DC-based utility.

FERC Thursday ordered Columbia Gas Transmission to disgorge $9 million in unjust profits for alleged violations of its parking and lending (PAL) service tariff between 1998 and 2003, and directed Columbia Gas and sister pipeline Columbia Gulf Transmission to pay a civil penalty of $1 million for violations related to their nominations and discount posting practices.

Damaged Gas Pipes, Flooded Facilities Plague Recovery from Ike

Damage to several natural gas gathering and offshore systems in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) and restricted access to roads because of flooding onshore is delaying the return to full production following Hurricane Ike, federal officials said Thursday. The Minerals Management Service (MMS), which earlier this week reported 28 offshore platforms had been destroyed, revised the number upward to 48.
