Some Points Rally, But Most Soften Further

Although most of the cash market remained in softening mode Thursday by recording losses ranging from a couple of pennies to more than 80 cents, several areas had points in the mix that were flat to as much as nearly a quarter higher. The look back was at Thursday morning’s report of a 114 Bcf storage refill, which many apparently felt was subpar despite its large volume, and the accompanying futures spike of 36 cents that day. The gaze ahead was riveted on forecasts of above normal temperatures this week in the key Midwest and Northeast market areas.
