The Grand Gas Meter Station was shut in Monday morning until further notice due to high liquids content in receipts, Northwest said. Gas being received recently from Grand Gas exceeded the tariff maximum of “seven pounds of water in vapor phase per million cubic feet,” the pipeline said.

Florida Gas Transmission said it was having operational problems with pipe maintenance “due to extreme weather conditions,” and no receipts would be scheduled Wednesday at its Refugio, TX interconnect with the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System, affecting about 102,000 MMBtu/d. MOPS operator Northern Natural Gas said its “current information is that it [Refugio flow] may not be back available” until Thursday.

As it had said might be necessary due to processing cutbacks (see Daily GPI, Oct. 29), ANR declared an OFO Monday restricting receipts on its Southeast system to heating value of no more than 1,050 Btus per cubic foot. The OFO becomes effective Nov. 1 until further notice.

Coastal Gas Gathering and Processing experienced a fire Thursdayat its Dragon Trail (CO) Plant that caused one injury and limitedreceipts into Northwest, Questar, CIG and Public Service Co. ofColorado. Dragon Trail throughput was reduced temporarily to zeroFriday but was being restored by that afternoon, a spokesman said.Full output was expected to be reached by Friday night or Saturday,he said.

Saying it is experiencing a shortage of receipts at itsMarshfield, WI, interconnect with Viking that may threaten itssystem integrity, ANR issued an OFO for the point that takes effecttoday. All firm shippers nominating MDQ (Maximum Daily Quantity)with Marshfield as a receipt point must keep their nominations atthose levels until further notice, and all firm shippers nominatingless than MDQ at Marshfield must raise their volumes to MDQ levels.Any firm shipper nominating Marshfield as a delivery point may notincrease volumes until further notice.

Destin Pipeline said Monday it is experiencing excessive watervapor in its receipts. According to the Destin tariff, all gasreceived must contain no more than seven pounds of water vapor per1 million cubic feet of gas and no free water. Operators were askedto check their equipment to make sure it is in proper workingorder. Destin said it is gathering data on various locations, andany producer found in violation of the water vapor spec is subjectto being shut in.
