Due to a resubmission of data, the amount of natural gas marketed by RBS Sempra reported in NGI’s 1Q2010 Top North American Gas Marketers Ranking (see Daily GPI, June 10) has been increased to 9.50 Bcf/d from the previously reported 6.40 Bcf/d. As a result, RBS Sempra moves into fifth place in the survey and the total gas volume marketed by the 26 participating companies has been revised to 147.69 Bcf/d from the previously reported 144.59 Bcf/d.

A high-ranking Halliburton executive Tuesday said he doesn’t believe drilling in the offshore — both in shallow water and deepwater — can remain at a standstill for long as a result of the Deepwater Horizon rig explosion and oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM).

Mary Landrieu (D-LA) have introduced legislation that not only would permit drilling for oil and natural gas closer to the western coast of Florida, but also would give coastal states that agree to allow exploration and production off their shores a piece of the revenue pie.
