Vector Ahead in the East-Bound Race

The U.S. leg of the proposed Vector Pipeline has won finalenvironmental approval at FERC, moving it within one step ofbecoming certified as the first new pipeline capable of providingtakeaway transportation for the steady influx of western Canadiangas supplies entering the Chicago market. The Commission’s actioncomes in the wake of the National Energy Board’s final approval ofthe 15-mile Canadian portion of the project.

Vector Gets Preliminary Nod from FERC, Takes Lead in Midwest Race

The 1 Bcf/d Vector Pipeline project has taken the lead amongmajor pipelines designed to move gas east from Chicago. Vector wonpreliminary approval on non-environmental grounds from FERC lastweek, which puts it ahead of the TriState Pipeline, IndependencePipeline and the Tennessee Eastern Express projects in the strugglethrough the regulatory process.
