Calpine to Sell Rocky Mountain Reserves for $223M
Calpine Corp. said Friday it has entered into two agreements to sell its Rocky Mountain natural gas reserves in the Colorado Piceance Basin and New Mexico San Juan Basin for approximately $223 million.

Citing shipper requests, Questar extended the open season for its Piceance to Kanda/Coleman expansion project to a noon MDT deadline on Sept. 19. It previously had planned to end the season last Friday (see Daily GPI, Aug. 13). Coastal Adds Midcontinent Reserves
Coastal Corp. subsidiary Coastal Oil & Gas bought oil and gasassets of Conoco in the Uintah Basin of northeastern Utah and thePiceance Basin of western Colorado. The properties are in two ofthe most prolific gas basins in the Rocky Mountains. Provedreserves are estimated at 500 Bcfe, about 95% gas.
