Houston-based Black Bear Transmission LLC has acquired Ozark Gas Transmission LLC (OGT) and Ozark Gas Gathering LLC (OGG) from a subsidiary of Enbridge Inc.

A unit of the midstream master limited partnership of Marathon Petroleum Corp., MPLX Pipe Line Holdings LLC, has agreed to buy Enbridge Pipelines LLC’s Ozark line for approximately $220 million. The MPLX LP unit also announced its plans for expanding the acquired pipeline.

Flattening gas production from the Fayetteville Shale and other pipeline infrastructure in the region has prompted Ozark Gas Transmission LLC to repurpose some Arkansas gas pipeline facilities for refined products service.
