Transportation Notes

At noon EST Wednesday Dominion added FTNN (Firm Transportation No-Notice) Hourly Limit and Conform Transportation Services to Scheduled Nominations OFOs in its PL-1 service area in the Mid-Atlantic to the ones it had announced a day earlier for seven utility meters in New York state (see Daily GPI, Dec. 31). The first PL-1 OFO affects 14 pipeline/utility meters, while 13 meters are impacted by the second OFO. See the bulletin board for details.

Transportation Notes

Due to unplanned maintenance on the 20-inch diameter Peace River Mainline, NOVA said it was taking all meter stations in the Upper Peace River Mainline Area to zero at noon MST last Friday until further notice. The work is expected to be completed by Dec. 8.

EnCana Fixes Well Leak in Area of Recent Attacks

EnCana Corp. said Monday it had stopped a small gas leak that was discovered Friday about noon at a well site south of Dawson Creek, BC. The leak, which was sealed Sunday evening by cement injection into the well, is in an area where EnCana facilities were targeted by vandals in two incidents last month.

Gulf of Mexico Production Slowly Trickles Back

As of about noon CDT Friday 44.6% of the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) natural gas production was shut in out of normal production of 7.4 Bcf/d, and 48.2% of oil production was shut in out of normal production of 1.3 million b/d, following the ravages of hurricanes Gustav and Ike, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) said.

Futures Fail at the Highs Again, But Traders Still Await a Top

Natural gas futures bulls put in a new high for the up move on Tuesday but in the end were not able to capitalize on the momentum. June natural gas recorded a high of $11.364 just before noon EDT before retreating in the remainder of the regular session to finish the day at $11.150, down 2.8 cents from Monday.

Transportation Notes

The Sea Robin Processing Plant operated by Amerada Hess was back online (see Daily GPI, March 27) and began processing around noon Sunday, Sea Robin Pipeline reported. It asked shippers to adjust gas flows and nominations as needed.
