Maritimes & Northeast U.S. (M&N) said it learned that the Sable Offshore Energy Inc. (SOEI) production facility had encountered a decrease in output volume Friday. “Due to this decrease in supply, shippers sourcing their supply from SOEI should contact their supplier to get any information that may be desired concerning the cause, extent and duration of the event, as well as the potential of this event causing supply restrictions for current and/or future gas days,” M&N said. It added that all shippers must act to avoid the creation of due-pipe imbalances and not take due-shipper imbalance paybacks.

Transportation Note
The Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline (M&N) said Tuesday that cold weather forecasts and high demand on the M&N system have triggered a number of restrictions that will be in effect until further notice. Shippers are required to schedule receipts commensurate with expected deliveries; meter operators are required to flow at scheduled volumes, and imbalance gas will not be allowed to be taken off of M&N’s system. More specifically, the pipeline said due shipper payback and/or due pipe creation imbalances will not be allowed. “If necessary, M&N may take action as permitted by the general terms and conditions of the M&N FERC Gas Tariff, including the issuance of OFOs, to minimize due pipe creation and/or due shipper payback imbalances,” M&N said.
