Tennessee Gas Pipe Line Co. LLC has filed for a certificate with FERC to expand its system in Pennsylvania by 180,000 Dth/d to serve a new natural gas-fired power plant in the northeast part of the state that's expected to be in-service by 2017.

Pacific Trail Pipelines LP (PTP) is seeking shippers for its proposed C$1.2 billion, 463-kilometer (288-mile) Kitimat to Summit Lake Looping Project (KSL Project). Capacity takers would eventually be able to transport Canadian gas to the proposed Kitimat LNG Inc. terminal for liquefaction and shipment to more lucrative markets in the Pacific Rim.

Panhandle Energy’s Panhandle Eastern Pipe Line will hold a non-binding open season for proposed expansion using pipeline looping and additional horsepower. Depending upon interest, the project could provide up to 750 MMcf/d of incremental capacity from the pipe’s field zone through the Midwest to Michigan. In-service could be early 2008. The open season runs Dec. 15 to Jan. 31.
