Mexico’s Comision Federal de Electricidad (CFE) in January plans to award the contract for the proposed $1 billion, 1.19 Bcf/d La Laguna — Aguascalientes natural gas pipeline, which would serve power generation demand in the states of Durango, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes, as well as central and western Mexico.

Maintenance on Laguna Station’s #3 unit, previously scheduled for March 7-9, has been postponed to April, El Paso said. The ongoing force majeure involving repair of the #2 unit at Belen Station will continue until further notice, reducing San Juan Crossover capacity by 35 MMcf/d from a base capacity of 650 MMcf/d, the pipeline added.

El Paso continued a 30 MMcf/d allocation of the San JuanCrossover through today due to unforeseen problems extendingmaintenance on the Laguna Station (Cibola County, NM) #3compressor. El Paso also postponed maintenance on the WendenStation (La Paz County, AZ) “A” turbine, which had been scheduledearlier this week, to March 16-18 to coincide with a total shutdownof the station March 17. Havasu Crossover capacity will be cut by80 MMcf/d on March 16 and 18 and by 150 MMcf/d on March 17.
