Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Jeff Sessions (R-AL), both members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, introduced legislation last Thursday that would require a federal conviction to stand in the event of the death of a defendant and would allow victims to seek restitution from the defendant’s estate.

Dominion Prospects Interest in Storage Hub for Western Gas Supplies

Dominion Transmission will begin an open season on Tuesday to solicit interest in its proposed Dominion Hub Project, which would be designed to receive and store new natural gas supplies from the western United States for delivery throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic. The open season, which will end June 27, will solicit interest in 18 million Dth of storage capacity with 300,000 Dth/d of deliverability.

Senators Introduce Bill to Move OCS Leasing Closer to Florida Coast

U.S. Sens. Pete Domenici (R-NM), Jeff Bingaman (D-NM), Jim Talent (R-MO) and Byron Dorgan (D-ND) have launched a counterattack on the issue of drilling in the eastern Gulf of Mexico, introducing legislation Tuesday instructing the Secretary of the Interior to develop an oil and gas leasing program for Lease Area 181 that can extend up to a line 100 miles off the Florida Coast and west of the Military Mission Line.

New Mexico Natural Gas Prices Provide Mixed Results, PNM CEO Says

Skyrocketing wholesale natural gas prices have had a mixed impact on New Mexico, said PNM Resources CEO Jeff Sterba. The positive side has been substantially higher revenues to the state for the higher-priced oil and gas production. The negative has been the cost impact on consumers.
