Transportation Notes

Due to a force majeure event at Compressor Station 2 in Flagstaff, AZ, the station is down for repairs, Transwestern said Monday. It was required to reduce capacity on the Thoreau/West System effective with Intraday 1 (Cycle 3) nominations for Monday’s gas day through Thursday. The cut was from normal Thoreau/West capacity of 1,225,000 MMBtu/d to about 1,075,000 MMBtu/d, Transwestern said. Full volumes are expected to become available again for Friday’s gas day.

Transwestern said it would complete resolution of a force majeure event at Compressor Station 2 near Flagstaff, AZ (see Daily GPI, March 18) by Thursday evening and was accepting Timely cycle nominations for Friday’s gas day on its Thoreau/West system up to the normal capacity of 1,220,000 MMBtu/d.

Transwestern said a force majeure event at Compressor Station 2 near Flagstaff, AZ, caused the station to be taken out of service for repairs during the weekend. The outage is reducing Thoreau/West system capacity from to about 1,075,000 MMBtu/d through Tuesday, the pipeline said. It expects to restore Thoreau/West to its original capacity of 1,220,000 MMBtu/d Wednesday.

Transportation Notes

El Paso Natural Gas reported that its Window Rock 6B maintenance will extend through Monday. Flagstaff maintenance will be shortened to one day only and occurred Monday. The capacity of the North Mainline was reduced by 30 MMcf/d over the weekend, by 123 MMcf/d Monday and will be reduced by 14 MMcf/d Tuesday through Thursday. The Bowie Station will be down for generator maintenance through Tuesday, reducing the capacity of the South Mainline system by 50 MMcf/d.

Transwestern reported a force majeure event Tuesday afternoon atStation 2 (Flagstaff, AZ) when the #2 compressor unit went down forrepairs. Downtime was estimated at 24-36 hours. West of Thoreaucapacity for today’s gas day is reduced by 70,000 MMBtu/d to about1,065 MMBtu/d.
