However, Tuesday afternoon it said the OFO would continue for at least one more day. The utility also recovered 150 MMcf/d of injection capacity Tuesday at its Aliso Canyon storage facility after force majeure repairs to a K-25 gas generator that had begun March 19 were completed.

With another dose of winter storms and chilly temperatures for much of the country set for later in the week, January natural gas futures — which expire on Tuesday — rebounded on Monday to put a six in front of a prompt-month contract’s price for the first time in almost a year. The contract notched a $6 high in afternoon trading before closing out the regular session at $5.990, up 34.7 cents from last Thursday’s close.

After allowing an OFO Type 6 that had been implemented on the previous Friday to expire last Tuesday, Southern Natural Gas said Friday that “based on historically high storage inventory levels and projected high injection requirements for the upcoming weekend,” it would implement another OFO Type 6 for long imbalances Saturday (Sept. 12) until further notice. Tiered penalties would apply to positive daily imbalances exceeding 2% or 200 Dth, whichever was greater.

Florida Gas Transmission kept an Overage Alert Day in place through Saturday, then allowed it to expire Sunday.

Pacific Gas & Electric is allowing a systemwide Stage 2 low-inventory OFO that had been in effect for the previous two days to expire Wednesday.

After allowing a two-day systemwide high-inventory OFO on its California Gas Transmission system to expire Tuesday, Pacific Gas & Electric issued a customer-specific OFO for Wednesday.

A day after allowing a three-day systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO to expire Friday, Pacific Gas & Electric said it would implement a new OFO on its California Gas Transmission system Saturday. Noncompliance charges of $1/Dth were set for exceeding a 5% tolerance on positive daily imbalances.
