MDU Resources Group Inc.’s Fidelity Exploration & Production Co. has set a new Bakken Shale production record of 3,500 net boe/d from its operated wells. Including nonoperated wells, production exceeds 5,000 net boe/d, the company said Monday.

Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline completed an open season, with seven shippers executing precedent agreements for 1.49 Bcf/d of firm capacity, which exceeds the initial design capacity of 1 Bcf/d. The pipeline project is a partnership of Williams Pacific Connector Gas Pipeline LLC, PG&E Strategic Capital Inc. and Fort Chicago LNG II U.S. LP. CMS Energy said it completed its exit from the Australian energy industry with the sale of its interests in the Parmelia and Goldfields pipelines in western Australia to the Australian Pipeline Trust for about US$147 million (AU$206 million), or about $2 million more than prior estimates.
