Clean Energy Fuels Corp.’s BAF Technologies Inc. unit expanded its compressed natural gas (CNG) product line to include Ford vehicles equipped with the BAF proprietary bi-fuel CNG systems. The new line is to be available this May, including bi-fuel Ford E-250/350 vans and F-250/350 trucks. BAF also announced that it was the first CNG vehicle upfitter in the nation to be named a Ford-qualified vehicle modifier for gaseous fuels. The pickup trucks will be available in both 10 and 20 gasoline gallon-equivalent natural gas fueling packages.

Heavy truck manufacturer Peterbilt Motors Co. has rolled out three natural gas-fueled models equipped with the Cummins Westport ISL-G engine, which offers a 320 hp rating and 1,000 ft-lbs. of torque. The vehicles run on either compressed or liquefied natural gas. “Our natural gas Models 384, 365 and 320 demonstrate our industry leadership in developing products that will reduce harmful emissions and provide exceptional fuel efficiency,” said Bill Jackson, Peterbilt general manager.

Allenergy Inc. said last week it has equipped and put on pump eight of the 26 existing wells on its Ball Lease property, part of the company’s 960-acre AE Project Four in southeastern Kansas. Allenergy plans to have two additional wells pumping before the end of 2006, weather permitting.
