Epic Crude Holdings LP is testing support for another expansion of its Texas intrastate oil pipeline that extends from Orla in the Permian Basin to the Port of Corpus Christi.

Epic Y-Grade Holdings LP said Thursday two of its affiliates were selected to build more than 130 miles of ethane and ethylene pipeline to support the massive steam cracker underway in South Texas.

Epic Midstream Holdings LP, which is building dual oil and natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline systems to move supply from the Permian Basin to the Texas coast near Corpus Christi, said Monday units of three major producers have taken stakes to support the projects.

Epic Midstream Holdings LP said its crude oil pipeline, which is expected to provide much-needed takeaway service from the Permian Basin to the Texas coast, remains on schedule, with interim service beginning in 3Q2019 and permanent service in January 2020.

Because of “high customer demand” from Permian Basin producers, Epic Crude Oil Pipeline is expanding the size of its system and moving up the start date, with expectations to begin transport to South Texas by 3Q2019, at least three months sooner than originally anticipated.

San Antonio, TX-based Epic Midstream Holdings LP said on Wednesday that its 700-mile pipeline has started its third and final construction phase for taking natural gas liquids (NGL) from the Permian Basin to the Texas Gulf Coast. It is slated to be in service late next year.

Epic Y Grade Pipeline LP said Friday it has inked an agreement with a BP plc unit to anchor a 650-mile, natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline with capacity of at least 220,000 b/d, to link producer reserves in the Permian Basin and Eagle Ford Shale to Texas Gulf Coast refiners, petrochemical companies and export markets.
