Entrega Pipeline Expected to Begin Construction in Mid-2005

EnCana Corp.’s proposed Entrega Gas Pipeline is expected to be under construction by next June if all goes to plan, the company said this week. The pipe, to be constructed in two stages, would begin transporting natural gas from the Piceance Basin to the Cheyenne Hub by the end of next year (see Daily GPI, Oct. 21).

Magnum Hunter Doubles New Mexico Holdings

Magnum Hunter Resources Inc. has completed the acquisition of oil and natural gas assets in New Mexico from Tom Brown Inc., an EnCana Corp. subsidiary (see Daily GPI, June 22). The properties, which double Magnum Hunter’s holdings in the state, are located in Lea and Eddy counties in southeast New Mexico, in the general vicinity of its Morrow/Atoka/Strawn drilling program.

TECO Peoples Gas has added its three-hundredth natural gas customer in the state of Florida. “We’re excited to celebrate this landmark event in our company’s growth,” said Kent Hobart, general manager for Peoples Gas North Region. “In fact, this represents a 50% customer increase since 1997.” In reaching the 300,000 mark, TECO Peoples Gas said it is Florida’s leading provider of natural gas. TECO Peoples Gas’ parent company TECO Energy is a diversified, energy-related holding company based in Tampa, FL.
