Devon Energy Corp. Chairman John Richels is retiring in June. He served as president and CEO from 2010 until July 2015 and has been chairman since June 2016. In the coming months, Richels will lead the transition process. The board has elected Duane C. Radtke as vice chairman. He has served as a member of the board since 2010 and currently chairs the compensation committee and serves on the reserves committee. Since 2008, Radtke has served as president and CEO of family-owned Valiant Exploration LLC. From 2001-2008 he was president and CEO of Dominion’s former exploration unit Dominion Exploration and Production, and concurrently was executive vice president of former subsidiary Consolidated Natural Gas Co.
