CIG reported that during the final stages of repairs to its Totem Storage Field dehydration facility it encountered additional issues that prevented it from restoring full withdrawal capacity Thursday as previously planned (see Daily GPI, Dec. 17). Effective with Intraday 1 (Cycle 3) nominations for Thursday, Totem withdrawals were being reduced to the prorated scheduled quantity, CIG said, and any additional withdrawal nominations for subsequent cycles would be cut to zero until further notice. Injections remain unaffected by this outage, CIG noted.

CIG reported anticipating the completion of repairs to its Totem Storage Field dehydration facility in time to permit the return of full Totem service effective with Timely Cycle nominations for Thursday’s gas day. It canceled a force majeure that had precluded withdrawal transactions at the field since late last week (see Daily GPI, Dec. 14).

Northern Natural Gas, operator of the Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System (MOPS), said Friday it was nearing the return of service on MOPS dehydration equipment at the onshore Tivoli, TX, facility (see Daily GPI, Oct. 22) and expected it to be fully operational for Monday’s gas day.

Transportation Notes

Northern Natural Gas declared a force majeure late Wednesday afternoon for the Spearman (TX) Compressor Station, saying the dehydration unit had failed. It was not known when repairs could be completed, but until then station capacity will be limited to 50,000 Dth/d.
