The owner of a building destroyed by a natural gas-related explosion one year ago and four other men have been charged in New York State Supreme Court with manslaughter in the second degree, criminally negligent homicide and other charges, according to Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.

Project Alpha Defendants Expected to Change Plea Tuesday
Two former Dynegy Inc. employees are expected to change their pleas in Houston federal court Tuesday. The former Dynegy employees, who had initially entered not guilty pleas with another former employee who was indicted, were involved in the company’s Project Alpha transaction that overstated the company’s cash flow two years ago.
