Sticking to its end of the year in service deadline, Duke Energy Gas Transmission (DEGT) said it has successfully installed, inspected and tested 1,666 feet of Patriot Extension natural gas pipeline under the New River in Wythe County, VA, and is continuing construction on a 53-mile section of the pipeline moving east from the river.

Enron Given July 11 Deadline for Reorganization Plan
As requested, the judge presiding over Enron Corp.’s bankruptcy last week granted an extension for the company to file its reorganization plan. Judge Arthur Gonzalez said it would be “counterproductive” to deny the request, which was made in late June (ee NGI, June 30).

Transportation Notes
El Paso extended the bid period for its Bondad Expansion Project (see Daily GPI, Nov. 13) through Dec. 6. The deadline previously had been set for this Friday. The pipeline said the extension was made to accommodate customers who are interested in this expansion and who are also subject to the receipt point election process on El Paso. The results of that process will be available Dec. 2.
