Brief — Texas Inspection Database

The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) has launched Online Inspection Lookup, a searchable database of oil and gas inspection and violation data. Users may search inspection or violation information by operator name, lease name/number, county, RRC district oil/gas number, inspection date range and rule. Data is pulled from the RRC’s Inspection, Compliance and Enforcement Tracking System, which was implemented in August 2015. Pennsylvania to Stop Using FracFocus, Will Launch Own Registry in 2016

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) said it plans to launch by mid-2016 its own database for tracking chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing (fracking) and will stop using the national registry FracFocus.org.

Marcellus Production Drove Pennsylvania Increase in 2010

Natural gas production in Pennsylvania is expanding wildly, according to new data released by the state Department of Environmental Protection, which revealed 256 Bcf of natural gas was produced from 1,148 Marcellus Shale wells in the second half of 2010.
