Oklahoma Producer Wants State to Order Gas Production Cut

Continental Resources Inc. has asked the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) to order the state’s natural gas producers to reduce their output in order to relieve the oversupplied domestic gas market.

Acknowledging that customers’ natural gas bills could be going up in difficult times, Virginia’s State Corporation Commission (SCC) in late December approved a conservation and rate decoupling plan for Virginia Natural Gas (VNG) that provides incentives for residential customers to reduce consumption. VNG is guaranteed a certain level of revenue under the approved rate decoupling plan whether or not customers use less gas.

Arizona Regulators OK $33.5M Southwest Gas Rate Hike

The Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) has approved a $33.5 million annual rate increase for Las Vegas, NV-based Southwest Gas Corp.’s customers in the state. The increase, effective on Jan. 1, will be borne by customers on their summer-month (April through October) natural gas bills.
