The Regulatory Commission of Alaska (RCA) has granted a certificate of public convenience and a construction permit to PTE Pipeline LLC (PTEP) to construct and operate a condensate pipeline connecting Point Thomson production facilities with BP plc’s Badami Pipeline on the North Slope.

The New York State Public Service Commission (PSC) recently approved St. Lawrence Gas Co.’s amended certificate of public convenience and necessity for a system expansion in upstate New York. Construction is set to begin this month, the Enbridge Gas Distribution subsidiary said.

Cardinal Gas Storage Partners subsidiary Perryville Gas Storage LLC has applied to FERC for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to construct, own and operate a new salt dome natural gas storage facility and related facilities in the Crowville Salt Dome in Franklin and Richland parishes, LA. The facility will provide a total of approximately 15 Bcf of working capacity in two caverns. Plans call for interconnections with CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission and Columbia Gulf Transmission near Delhi, LA. The company also requested FERC approval to provide firm and interruptible storage services and interruptible hub services from the facility. Assuming FERC authorization by Dec. 1, Perryville said construction could begin in early 2010.

Boardwalk Receives Certificates for Gulf Crossing, Laterals

Going two for two recently at FERC, Boardwalk Pipeline Partners LP said it has received certificates of public convenience and necessity to construct its Gulf Crossing Pipeline project and the Fayetteville and Greenville Laterals. The projects are expected to provide an outlet for significant volumes of new gas production from the Barnett Shale, Caney Woodford Shale and other production areas in Texas and southeast Oklahoma.

AGL Subsidiary Files at FERC for 12 Bcf, $180M Texas Facility

Following a successful open season conducted in May (see NGI, May 7), AGL Resources subsidiary Golden Triangle Storage Inc. has filed at FERC requesting a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to construct and operate a proposed underground natural gas storage project with market-based rates to be located on the southern edge of Beaumont in Jefferson County, TX.
