CNG In A Box, a project launched earlier this year to provide compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling options for large- and small-scale retailers, was unveiled Monday by GE and a Chesapeake Energy Corp. affiliate, Peake Fuel Solutions.

Clean Energy Fuels Corp. and the state of Virginia have signed an agreement to expand the infrastructure and vehicles running on compressed natural gas (CNG) as part of a wider alternative fuel initiation for state/local government fleets. Separately, Blossman Gas would help convert vehicles and supply propane and related transportation services.

Tallahassee, FL-based Nopetro LLC has opened in its hometown a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facility, part of a planned regional network “that will make CNG a workable cost-saving option for government and commercial fleets as well as individual CNG vehicle owners,” the company said Tuesday.

As part of it $100 million annual alternative transportation fuels program, the California Energy Commission (CEC) approved another $582,000 for the development of two compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facilities and for subsidizing a local vehicle dealer’s purchase of alternative fuel vehicles.

Compressed basis differentials could squeeze cash flows at Midcontinent Express Pipeline LLC (MEP), which is facing recontracting risk in 2019, according to Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services (S&P), which lowered its outlook on MEP to “negative” from “stable.”

New Jersey regulators on Monday approved a $10 million pilot program by New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) to add up to seven compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations in the next 12 months, which would give the state a total of 10 public fueling stations.

Oklahoma regulators on Monday approved rebates of up to $2,500 for natural gas vehicles (NGV) and home fueling equipment providing compressed natural gas (CNG). Rebates will be offered by ONEOK’s Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. (ONG) utility, and all residents of the state are eligible for the program.

AGL Resources’ Atlanta Gas Light Co. said it has received qualified proposals from the city of Atlanta and seven commercial operators to build up to nine compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations throughout Georgia under a program authorized by regulators last year. The first station is slated to open in mid-2013.
